Is this game even out yet...and if so what "online store" has it...?
It doesn't look as GREAT as I have hoped but it does look pretty neat (neat enough for me to get a copy!)- [I was hoping for more 'open water' battles and plundering type game]
The ONLINE DEMO also helped me to decide as well (looks like cool bits)- :D
...as I get a copy, I will share my adventures....until then: we shall see!

I was trying to figure out if there were naval battles?

Doesn't look like any naval battles (or at least on a grand scale!)- I liked the battles in Pirate's Cove- now that's a COOL GAME!
...OK I did find an online store (Thought Hammer) who has it for sale:

...But I find it a bit harsh that this is a "light" Pirate-themed game yet it is the same price as Eagle Game's Pirates! game and Pirate's Cove....odd!-

So what do you do in this game? Something with swords? Possibly something with skulls?

You should try out the online demo. You will get a feel. You travel around a board gaining firepower or gold. When you reach the "end game", hopefully you've accumulated enough gold to buy the captured ship back or have enough firepower to take it back by force. You have to do this before your opponents in order to win the game. Along the way, there are baddies to defeat, bribes to carry-out, and traps and slow downs to avoid.

I have a sword. It awaits NerdX's skull.

It doesn't quite look like my cup of tea, but it might be my friends' (the much hated low-attention-spannin', vidoe-game-playin', AH-ruinin' light grognards). I'll try and get on of them to buy it and try it out.

thats also what i thought when i played the online demo.
one thing thats making me really hate it is thats its about pirates (i had to do an embarrissing, gay pirate play when i was younger to this day i hate pirates!!!) maybe if it was more urban and you got to go against a gang, and you hire an undercover....
