Does anybody here think that German Flying Saucers are real? Or do you think it is a hoax?

Go to this site to get started on whole thing: http://www.rense.com/ufo2/hovnew.htm

It is believed that German scientists worked on an airplane with circular wings and that it was capable of hovering in the air and moving in extremely high amount of speed.

I personally think it is fake. If you have ever tryed spining a wheel wheel holding it and then try and move the wheel. It goes out of control. Angular Motion would make something like this almost impossbile. Because everytime you change direction, the Angular Motion would change, and thus through the craft off-balance. To me it sounds phyically impossible.

Ask Nerdx, I think he was abducted by aliens and then probed, so he would have first hand knowledge.

Moving the wheel is as easy as if it were not rotating, its changing the angle of the wheel that's more difficult.

I think David Brin wrote a cool short story about this, where the Germans and the Soviets fought a shadow flying sacuer war after WWII, without the U.S.'s knowledge. Or maybe it was another author. Coulda been David Drake, now that I think about it.

It maybe possible. The Germans did devolpe and make plans for lots of types of aircraft. Maybe will we never know. It was just recently that the German Flying wing was discovered in the storage section at the Simsonian and was found out to be a steath bomber. Quite funney how it took the American government billions of dollars to develope a stealth Aircraft, when it already had one sitting in storage all along.

I've read about countries doing experiments with aircraft designs that were circular. It is most likely that they were not UFOs or aliens or anything like that but just mistaken by the public to be something "weird."

It is a cover up tactic so used today, if the public saw something it shouldn't, the gov't denies everything about it leaving the public to use their imagination on what it could be. It's better one beleive in aliens rather than uncover a Top Secret project the gov't isn't willing to let anyone know about.

They did attempt it but with very limited or no success. Same is true of so many other strange space age techs. War brings out some strange inventions. Some would say the saucer tech was then continued by US after the war and still is.

The Americans, and Canadians worked on a "flying disc" in the 50's (the Avrocar). The project ran way overtime and overbudget with little appreciable progress. It attempted to direct jet exhaust through a series of vents to produce vertical thrust. By all accounts the project failed miserably. Film of the only working prototype shows it to be unmanageable, and only capable of hovering a few feet off the ground.

This Nazi design appears to be more of a "helicopter"-style approach, with a series of blades to produce lift as opposed to re-directed thrust. I'm not sure how effective it would be over modern helicopters. I also noticed no method to produce counter-rotation in the design, something helicopters must compensate for (either manually or automatically). Unless it was a double-fan system with counter-rotating propellers, it would likely spin out of control.

This is some pretty cool stuff.

Clearly a fake...someone made a nice little 3d image and painted on the German cross.

Yes, it was real. They developed it in Czechia near the end of the war and it did fly. The whole thing was covered up by the USAF by use of the UFOs are Aliens story.

There was one report of a Nazi UFO landing in Nebraska. This is an artists impression of the "Alien" as described by a local farmer.
