I have lots of the older AH PC games like Operation Crusader, Stalingrad and D-Day America Invades. I don't recall the system requirements for these, but I'm sure they were for an older version of Windows. Has anyone tried running these on Windows XP? Is there any way to emulate older versions of Windows with Windows XP? I think Third Reich was a DOS game too-- so is there a DOS emulator for Windows XP

Greetings,

I would also like to know if anyone has a solution to running the old World at War PC series of games on a PC running Windows ME or 2000 Pro. Is there a way to do this without having to set up an old DOS box to run them. Thanks for any assistance!

I do not feel, I think.

Similarly, I have a Kingmaker CD supposedly for Win95 but have never got it to work there or subsequent versions. Is there any way to achieve this?

Alright fellows, I did a little research and found this article. I haven't tried any of this yet but I thought I'd post the link. It looks like my solution is going to be bringing the old computer out of mothballs to play a little World @ War.... :)

I recently downloaded (free for personal use) a copy of DRDOS 7. This version of DOS has been passed around from company to company but now resides with DeviceLogics, Inc. If you Google for Caldera's version, it is available for download as five disk image files. I installed it on an old hard drive, downloaded an IDE CD-ROM driver from Teac, and Voila! instant DOS game box. Supposedly there's a driver for it to work with FAT32 drives as well (I had to partition 2GB for it to work with a FAT partition).

I am going to try to make a boot disk with everything needed to make it work. If I have any success, I will let you know. Either way if someone else wants to try it, let me know, and I'll provide as much info as I can.
