This verus American Civil War - Eagle Games

Ok battle cryers,

As painful as it is to admit this is one game that the Mod doesn't own. How is this game compared to eagle's game the american civil war?

Battle Cry is a grand tactic game. You have a open playing field and miniatures that represent unit. You have hex based terrian pieces you add to the board to make different battlefields from history. (very abstract battlefields). Unit represent from regiments to brigades of infantry depending on the scenario, and the general pieces represent main characters from history, but are really genaric in this game. If you own M44 by Days of Wonder then you know this game also. If not I suggest for your information, the Commands and Colors fan website.

So it is a simple game of civil war battles, not a strategic game of the war.
