Hi all.

What (if any) is the standard penalty when defeated by an enemy?

Hi there zooooma!
Do you mean enemy as in one drawn from the Enemy Card deck when you land on a cave, or any other space that directs you to draw an Enemy Card? I think the standard penalty is to pay 2 gold to the treasure trove, it should say on the Cave and other draw an Enemy Card spaces on the board. When you lose to another player, you pay them two gold, or they can take one of your crew cards if they have fewer crew cards than you do. That should be correct, but check the rule book and the board anyway, they should have the answers you seek.
