Reasons why i love the AH boards

Ive been here for about four months, and out of the 12+ forums ive joined this has got to be my favourite one.

Because:

We're small enough to be a "community" but big enough to not be dead (no offense to war time)

We dont limit conversations to AH games. We talk about almost anything.

You guys are hilarious.

The moderaters arent myserious people who delete posts once in awhile.

When i get to the {M} club, im going to get a jacket!

and i get a free game for not posting for two weeks!!! Yay

I thank you for your comments. This is my favorite board to be on as well, as a moderator and a member. It the perfect mix of humor, intellect, and gaming.

I've been an AH moderator for one year now and I can see the improvements. We have a play by post board. We got in on the uncon convention. We have a great orgins and gen con tournament director who is very active on the boards. Although mike and larry have moved on they still remain accessible for rule clarifications and chats when we need them. The community has paricipated in projects like the Rouge Commander PDF and A&ARE which I think is stellar. Many of you have sought me out online just to say hi and talk about gaming. AH does listen to us and I think from a costumer service angle they have been very receptive this past year in dealing with missing parts. We had our first AH chat which went very well.

I love the relationship that I have with everyone on the boards, including the wonderful conversations yam and I have on making pacific a more "warlike" game.

All in all I'm looking forward to next year.

I remember when I won uncon, but the prize I won I already owned, so I gave it to a friend.

I hope theres another uncon so maybe this time justice will be served and I will win the art competition.

I think it's kinda of a catch 22 with that series. They want to give out AH prodcut but most you own AH product or you wouldn't be here.

Well I stopped buying AH products, so maybe next guncon I will get a prize I can fully enjoy.

I would have to rate my AH expirence in the middle of things. Meaning that I am neutral to AH. This forum has many good people on it. Yet AH makes the boards confusing, and ineffiecent in nature with the House Rules Section. Still waiting for something to happen there. I have had some arugments with others on here, but for the most part, there are a lot of great people on here. I had fun with my map creation, and hope to keep on making more maps. But I would honestly have to say, that I have had same amount of positive times as negative times. Overall, that is why I rate my expirence as neutral.
