Hey Rich, if you're still around, can you answer 1 more question. I know you can't say much about future sets, but can you at least tell us if the IDEA of 3d terrain and or buildings has crossed your minds? Maybe and No are quite acceptable answers. ;)

I hope not. We need to keep AH in the business of making games, not toys.

Toys? since when is wargaming terrain considered toys and not gaming? I think he was just wondering if we would be lucky enough to reap the advantages of AH manufactured 3d terrain vs. cottage industry terrain which is either time consuming and too "homegrown" or just plain expensive resin/metal casts.

I thought it was a good question, though I doubt they will do it. Their rules already use the battle-board thing and not officially meant to be a terrain based miniatures wargame.

We need to let AH be in the business of staying fresh and competetive with a changing market.

More power to them to make terrain and break down some price barriers while they're at it.

People need to let go of their old notions of what AH is and was if they want games to survive in the wave of new products hitting the shelf.

That's kind of what I'd like to know. If they are going to probe deeper into the mini market with buildings and such, I would hold buying buildings from other companies. They are capable of making cheaper, more durable, buildings that would look as good as most I'm sure. They are doing it with these minis right now. I wouldn't even entertain the thought of WWII mini gaming if I had to pay for the metal ones in both time and money. While you can't call the tank you want, you're getting a booster for near what you would pay for just 1 tank unpainted. Man, how great it would be to see building packs made like the minis. I think those could be HUGE as they would be useable with ALL 15mm games.
