Hi,

I'm looking forward to the release of the A&A miniature game and like most of the models shown sofare. But one thing is not clear to me. From the information given by AH I understand that the base set contains 48 models. Does this mean 48 different models? And if so, will there be only one T34, for example, or more?

48 different models.
As for several T-34's, I don't know.

I'd be suprised if this set has more than 1 T-34. I'm sure we will see others in future sets. They will most likely be different types/paint schemes though.

Perhaps there will be other T-34s in the expansions. The tank did undergo a lot of changes in the war, especially when it came to crew size.

48 different models doesn't give them much to work with for the initial set, so I'd wager anything there are no duplicates (different versions) of any item.

Hmmm .... I surely want to have 48 different models per box. But I am a bit doubt about it. I have read they will be random pick and but for sure including one rare model. This implies you may actually have duplicate models in the same box. The number of models may be 48 or more (hopefully :) ) But I don't think you will have them all in one box. That's how they make you to buy more boxes (imagine you open the box and say "damn, the tiger tank is not here, let's buy another box)... They use similar scheme on card collection. But I surely hope I am dead wrong!!!!

The set has 15 rares, 1 rare per booster and (probably) 12 boosters per case. So you won't get all 15 rares in 1 case. In a single booster you will probably not get duplicates, even of the commons. In a case you might get duplicate rares and certainly will get duplicate commons & uncommons. But the commons will be things like riflemen & support weapons, so you will want multiples of them.

From past experiences with the D&D minis, if you want to complete a set, 2 cases gives you a good shot (assuming you can do a few trades). 3 cases will give you all you should really need. The mix has vastly improved since the 1st set of D&D minis. I wouldn't go buying up large ammounts of relativly common vehicles like the T34 or Sherman. I'm willing to bet that we will see others in future sets. This is all assuming you want to spend that much money.

I will hazard a guess that this game will use a distribution scheme like DDM: The Common units are divided into groups and you get one from each group so not only will you never get a duplicate in a booster, you will never get two commons from the same group in a booster. The Uncommons run the same way. This prevents the type of problems that several "clicky" minis games ran into. I know i personally opened one booster from such a game where three of the four minis were the same unit and two of them were the same rarity. That does not encourage long-term fans. I think A&AM could be huge if they get everything right, including the distribution. The previews look great and tactical combat games are a lot of fun.

I am looking forward to checking this out at GenCon this year.

Any guesses as to how many uncommons in a booster of nine random pieces?

It's probably something like
1 rare
2-3 Uncommons
5-6 commons
