I just pre-order 1 case(Boosters) of AAM today :D .

Just wondering if any others have/planning to do the same?

Hopefully I'll get a starter and a few boosters @ GenCon.

Probably trade/ebay of singles too complete the set.

Prediction: sometime in 2007 I'll open a booster from set 5 and get an M22 Locust as my rare, a Schwimmwagen as my uncommon vehicle, and my 12th Yugoslav Partisans as one of my commons, and I'll kick myself for not buying more of the first set.

So I'll probably end up buying several cases, but it won't be enough.

LOL.

I look at as an investment if I don't like the game. DDM (harbinder) and SWM(1st printing) 1st sets are worth $$$.

Ground entry level for this set. If I love it, great. If I don't, I'll wait 2 yrs and sell it off. This game will take off no matter what. There are too many wargamers that are married w/ kids and can't play 12hr sessions any more (those that currently can, enjoy while you can :D ). This game is perfect for a 4hr gaming session on a weekend night.

I wonder what the priceing will be at GCI.

Preorders can save 25% or more. But if GCI will be selling at full retail value, that would suck.

Usually at the cons CMG companys give small discounts on stuff, It probably won't be much though.

I know Gen Con will run a sealed and a league play on Saturday. Both are $30 for a starter and 1 booster.

They advertise the starter at $17.25. Booster is $9.15. You would save on shipping. So $30.00 is a fair price.

However, How do you know this is the price. Was it posted anywhere?

A friend and I have each pre-ordered a starter box and a booster case at the local FLGS (who gave us 20% discounts for bulk ordering). I think that with only 48 figures in the release a single case should be sufficient. My only concern is how many rares a case will yield; with D&D and Star Wars, it varies between 8 to 12 different rares per case.

V

I have never gotten a duplicate rare in a case of either Star Wars or D&D. Typically I have to buy 2 cases of D&D and 3 cases of Star Wars (because of the Very Rares) to guarantee a set or enough of each rarity to trade for a set.

I will probably by a case of A&A and the starter and then see what's left.

I have long learned that if I have any intrest in a game it is far cheaper to go ahead and spring for a case than to buy boosters or single pieces off of E-Bay. A case is also going to give you enough plaing pieces to be able to play a decent sized match. So far the cheapest case I have seen is $99. I will wait until 30 days before realease to actually put down money.

I'm planning to get a case & a couple of starters, plus singles on ebay.
If the number of different singles I want is large enough I might get a 2nd case.

I'm thinking one or two cases of AAM.

I've been saving money in my gaming budget (selling MW and CBT). I'm going to try to make money with SWM Universe. Buy 12 cases ($75 a case shipped to my door) and sell all that I can. Any money that I make goes into AAM.

I got a case and a half. That should equate to 18 rares, 12 packs a case, a rare a pack and all. Got a starter also, thinking about getting 2 for the extra maps.

My FLGS cut me a deal on the pre-oder = $120. I know GO on line is around $105 + shipping, but I'd rather pay where I play.
