Well below the threads you'll see that it says "Display Options". There you can select to see thread from "the last day", the last two days", "last week", etc. You probably only see thread from the last day, simply select from the last month or so and you should see all the old thread.

This is rather irritating. I've already messed with the display options a few times, and every time I come back to the site, the settings go back to default! (NOTE: the cookies are remembering me, so it's not like I keep signing in) Did the boards get an "upgrade" or am I just dumb?

If you click on User CP above and then edit options there are a bunch of options you can set. One includes using the boards default thread view. You might want to try changing these options to fix any issues with viewing threads and then save your settings.

As a bonus I stumbled upon the options to view the avatars and embedded graphics. Also nice was the option to set the number of posts per page up to 40. :D
