Does the new one fit the old one?

I haven't had the chance to break out the new game yet so here's my question:
Do the old gameboards/expansions fit the new game board?

Yes they do.

The only real difference is that the new boards are thinner cardboard, not mounted like the old ones. And the graphics are a bit different. Otherwise they are completely compatible

That means I can drag my old bits and pieces out and liven things up.
