WHICH SHOULD GO?

The Game forum is crowded with a bunch of games. To make the board more user friendly and less crowded some games should be moved to the OOP directory or another new directory called classics or something else where they can still have their game as a sub directory. Let's keep the board hopping instead of crowded.

The following games should be considered:

1. Stratego Legends: 16 threads and 95 posts last on 03/21/05.
2. Acquire: 20 threads and 83 posts last on 05/27/05.
3. History of the World: 23 threads and 105 posts last on 07/23/05.
4. Cosmic Encounter: 30 threads and 152 posts last on 07/06/05.
5. Battle Cry: 38 threads and 236 posts last on 5/28/05.

Also, Sword and Skull possibly should be moved for a general lack of interest in it eventhough it is a relatively new game. It only has 5 threads and 79 post last on 04/29/05.

Time to vote. Maybe AH will consider the results of this poll. You can select as many as you want to vote on. If you select other please post which ones, you would like to see moved.

Everything but Axis and Allies, BattleCry and Risk 2210, the rest are really (edit). ;)

Many are Out of Print, so move most of those into the OOP section.

It is interesting that this topic was brought up. Two weeks ago I submitted my plan for this. I want to create a board for the new (not the old classics) oop room. This would create two out of print rooms, one for old school AH games and one for the newer out of production games.

How soon will A&A Minis be out of production? :D

I'm guessing this game will be in production for a VERY long time.

I vote A&A minis.

I second that, I'm kind of bothered by how many people come for A&A miniatures and don't even care about the original game

sorry fellas,

Like I predicted the game has/will have a good following. It's the nature of miniatures, collectibles, and now it's a wargamed theme miniature and collectible being put out. I think this game will be much more mainstream than the flames of war or at least some of the more "detailed" WWII miniatures.

I like Mod Sin's idea of a New Game OOP. As for A&AM, I highly recommend just creating another site for those who wish to discuss that, and don't give a darn for the original game(s). I've hardly been here at all the past month, largely because A&AM has taken over the boards, and no one posts about anything else!

yeah same here, i became less active cause the boards just werent as entertaining anymore, no more hungry hungry hippos :D
now its just a bunch of people who talk about A&AM while the original classic is neglated over this mini fad

wizards just slapped on the A&A name to make more sales.

also, i think most of the active people have left (series) cause of A&AM :(

It's also summer and I know at least I'm spending more time out in the sun *hiss* .

Anyways, please keep the feedback rolling in, these forums have grown a lot in the last year. We're listening. =)

I think the newness of A&AM is what's driving the forums. Uncon is comming and that's a great time to pick up interesting dicussions on all games including A&A.

Of course feel free to make your thoughts on A&A known. I personally think we need a new A&A next year. Perhaps some pacific battle done d-day style.

I haven't noticed any drop in forum activity since A&AM was added. And if people come only for A&AM, what is the problem with that? It's not like they are bothering you in the other forums. Chill out! If you think A&AM stinks, or is evil, or whatever, don't play it and don't hang out at the forum. But just because its popular with people who aren't you doesn't mean it needs to be moved. I never have and probably never will be at all interested in it, but that doesn't mean others shouldn't be.

I'd call it just a miniatures game. Warhammer is collectible to a point I guess but there's a finite number of troops based on your army book so I don't think of it as collectible or expandable.
