Hello everyone!

I heard about RoboRally one week ago for the first time and went to buy it (the new version) immediatly. GREAT GAME!!!

After having read the Rulebook a couple of times a question came up regarding the cleanup phase section of the book (p.9):
Setup for the next turn
Players whose robots were powered down this turn announce wether their robots will remain powered down on the next turn.
Each ....
Robots reentering the race receive 2 Damage tokens (plus any Damage token taken while powered down).
A player may decide at this time to reenter the race powered down for their next turn (to discard the Damage tokens).

From what I've read in the forum I understand that powering down discards all damage tokens you had and you begin the next turn fully repaired. If thats correct, what does the red sentence mean.

I believe that is a mis-print in the rules. The only time robots 're-enter' the race is when they have been destroyed, at which time they come back with two points of damage.

When you powerdown, all damage is removed at the start of the turn you are powered down. However you can still take damage that turn, which you would have when you power up. You can always choose to remain powered down though. Also, if, while powered down, you receive enough damage to lock a register (or are hit with fire-control to do it) a random card is placed in that register.

I have pointed this out to customer service (http://www.wizards.com/customerservice) myself. The two damage only applies to Bots re-entering from being destroyed.

The rulebook was not edited very well. There's even a typo on Page 25 in the course manual for "Day of the SuperBot." In the second to the last sentence of the first paragraph, the word "Beam" of "Pressor Beam" is misspelled as "Bram" instead. I am sure there are other errors, but that one stuck out. The more people that point these things out to customer service (http://www.wizards.com/customerservice), by going to http://www.wizards.com/customerservice, then the sooner errata for these things should be posted.

Speaking of errata and wording, make sure to also check out the "Question on an Option" thread. They are going to be releasing errata (nobody knows when) for "Fire Control" so that it is re-worded as your robot still taking damage (I posted, in that thread, what the errata will be as given to me from customer service). However, I do not like the re-wording that was given to me for Fire Control, as even the new wording has its problems. Also, I found out that Superior Archive no longer works the way it used to. Under the original versions, if Superior Archive was your last option and your robot is destroyed and you had to sacrifice it (as part of the rule to sacrifice an option when your robot is destroyed), then you would be able to come back without the 2 damage for re-entering the race. However, under the NEW wording for this re-release, Superior Archive will NOT work if it is your last option when your robot is destroyed. Major change in the wording and I think it was unintentional. However, I confirmed this change with customer service also.

So, after destruction, do you come back with exactly 2 points of damage or 2 in addition to points you had before destruction?

If the latter, this means that going into a pit when wounded with 8 tokens will make you lose two life tokens, since you are destroyed for two reasons.

You re-start with ONLY 2 damage. All previously-accumulated damage is lost with that copy of your robot.

Also, you can come back from destruction already powered down, correct?
