Ok, who's man (or, woman) enough to admit to liking a reality TV show.

I for one, can not pass up "Survivor". My wife has recently got me into "Rock Star: INXS".

My favorite of all time was "The Scariest Places on Earth" hosted by Linda Blair, and to a lesser extent, MTV's "Fear".

My life's worth of reality TV:

- Watched the final show of the very first Survivor
- watched the last day of the most recent Survivor

I've seen snippits of Big Brother and Survivor when visiting my family, but otherwise have never been interested in these shows, because they aren't really "reality". Consider:

Is it reality to go to an island with strangers and compete in games for money? Live in a big house and play office politics? Take trips around the world playing games?

Basically, "reality" TV is just a new kind of game show (which has always been popular) with a new kind of game that has people playing games to win money. Nothing new.

Reality TV is boring TV.

Stephen is right. It's just a new type of gameshow I guess.

Rant mode activated.

its not enough that they keep churning out different takes on this rubbish but they then go and do celebrity versions as well. after just been subjected to 11 week of the torment that is big brother and celbrity love island i now have to suffer the evil that is x factor. Then i'm sure there'll be I'm a celebrity get me out of here, celebrity big bruv and a whole host of other rancid shows. Thank god for the pub and godbless the start of football season. come on chelsea!!!!
