Mod Sinister's fav general is Hannibal. We all know the amazing feats hannibal accomplished during the second punic war. How did hannibal die?

When Rome demanded the surrender of Hannibal, he committed suicide by taking poison.

Very Nice Trim. Furthermore it was poison he kept in a ring he carried with him all through the punic war. An Old man of near 60 years with no army, he evaded the Romans One final time.

One point to Trim Chris!!!

Name for me the Battle and the year of Hannibal's defeat in North Africa, that led to his suicide?

Name for me the General that Defeated Hannibal at that Battle?

The General that Defeated Hannaibal at that battle has the same Name as a pair of Brothers that defeated the Carthage Army so that they would not be able to link up with Hannibal after his defeat of the Romans at Cannae, name them?

Can you name that battle they won that stopped the link up? Which save Rome from Hannibal?

Gobo are you testing me on my favorite general? Ok

202 Zama but this didn't directly lead to his sucicide. He lived for a few years as a carthaigian magistrate. After Cato the Elder blaming Rome's troubles on carthage in every senate assemble with the words "cathage must die" they went after hannibal. He fled to greece where he became a ship captain. During his time there he developed the posion snake pot ploy. They would put posionous snakes in clay pots and chuck them over onto the enemy ships. I believe his death was in 187 BC (183 sticks in my mind for some reason)

Scipio Africanus Major son of Consul Scipio who was in charge during the outbreak of the war. Scipio saved his fathers life in the battle of the trebbia.

The battle of the Metaurus is the battle that stopped the linking. Hasdrubal's head (hannibal's brother) was sent to hannibal to remind him of the Roman Resolve. This took place in 207 bc. The leader in that battle were Marcus Livius Salinator and Gaius Claudius Nero.

All this is from memory but what I don't know is the "brothers" sharing the same name part of your question. Unless your refering to some battle other than the Metaurus perhaps?

Great Questions!!!!

215BC Dertosa (Ebro) - The battle that may well have saved Rome. The Scipio brothers defeat Hasdrubal in Spain which prevents the link up after Cannae.
