No. I'm not buying anymore until the next set comes out.

I did speak with Chris at WoTC earlier in the week and he stated that there was no such animal although it could come out in one of the future expansions. I would really like to trade the two monsters I have for two of the correctly scaled 'Cats. I haven't even used them yet due to their appearance.

I was just informed yesterday by another forum menber in another thread...that as per Mons...there are correct scale Hellcats...so what is it...are ther correct scale Hellcats out there in Base Set boosters...OR NOT...

AGAIN!!!!...I request a final statement on this issue from a AH staff member...

I hate to say it...but it almost sounds as if they want to keep this issue foggy so people will continue to boosters looking for one...

I don't think it's anything as nefarious as trying to keep the issue "foggy", as you put it, but more likely two people having been told two different things. This can happen in business (happens where I work, oh, I don't know - every day? Several times a day?). I do agree with you, though, that it would be nice to get a final, once-and-for-all statement from someone official - that's just part of providing good customer service.

On a related note, I was at a store at lunchtime today, and I saw a FOW Hellcat in the package. It seems to me to be about the same size as the A&A one. Anybody have both who can comment?

the HUGE Hellcat is the right scale for the the FOW 15mm stuff...it is the only vehicle from the AH minis set that FOW gamers will use...and are in fact looking for...

I guess WOTC/AH sjould have made all the vehicles in that HUGE Hellcat scale..

Actually, I wish they had. It would be nice to be able to play FOW without having to spend hundreds of dollars for the miniatures (to say nothing of the problem for those of us who are creatively-challenged of having to paint them). Being able to switch the figures back and forth would have been great - maybe they missed the boat on this one.

Just a quick point of reference --

While there are several WotC staffers and R&D people who read these boards with some regularity, this is not the place to make official requests. The forum is a community of users, by users, and for users. If you want an official company statement about something, send your request to Customer Service. It's their job to speak for the company.

But when someone official stated on this board that a 'correct' scale Hellcat was produced after the initial production run and were asked to confirm whether any made it into the distribution system it's only fair for them to answer the question.

I'm another who wishes that they had stuck to the traditional 15mm scale to give us the flexibility of plaing mix and match.

And if/when someone does and you get it from a sealed case, please post the date listed at the bottom under the lot number.

Not in starter or first booster. And don't care. I asked the Mail Call guys to compare the size of the M4A1 Stuart and the M18 Hellcat. They might get to it probably next week or 2 weeks from now. Keep an eye on Mail Call on Fridays.

I would hope that WOC would post that info on this site first and let us know.

Where was it posted that there would be a correct size M18? Who in wizards acknowledged a problem? Why can't someone from wizards just let us know whats going on? This is a game with plastic toy tanks, not a matter of national security.

Hey Adler - why do you care? I thought you weren't gonna play this game or buy any?

Here is the original quote about the M18 Hellcat:

This was an obvious error that we caught too late in the production cycle. The model was corrected and most of the figures are being produced to the right scale, but the initial batch of M18 Hellcats are indeed too large.

It was due to Wizards giving the wrong measurements and not being caught on the QC check. The production people assured me that an error of this scale was a product of a shortened production length and is quite unlikely to happen again.

Doesn't really confirm that later waves of the base set will have a correct-scale Hellcat or not, but it implies that later waves will be correctly sized.

So everyone needs to go clear their store out of boosters, so that the base set is reprinted with correctly sized Hellcats.

On second thought, maybe WOTC will do a trade-in program after all. :)

because I do not like game company reps. posting missleading/confusing info on the gamers forum...I beleave that said game company reps. should actually be concerned with their customer's issues...and be up-front and responsive in a timely manner clarifying any gray area of concern that THEY have initiated...

Who does? Game company reps only care about the company.
