From what I have read about the game (Vegas) it sound like it might be pretty interesting. Does anyone know if AH still plans to release it this month? October is almost half over… and I’m itchin’ to play. We play a lot of games at our house… we liked what we found in Robo-Rally and Nexus-Ops (though we were a bit disappointed in House on the Hill… both in the game and the quality, esp. considering the price). But two out of three isn’t bad… esp. when the two are pretty good games. And I have a feeling Vegas could make it three out of four. But I digress… just wondering if anyone knows anything about the release date.

After a few creative searches on Google... I found this on gatorgames;

Wizards of the Coast: The street date for Vegas Showdown (WOC 95442) has also shifted. This game will now street on October 21

I believe that the "official" release date as of this moment is Oct. 18. That means the game should hit stores sometime during the week of Oct. 16-22.

That's great... sounds like it will be released this month if all goes as planned. Looking forward to playing it. I assume the price will be in the same range as their other games ($40-50). Speaking of price... and if any AH folks read these posts... I would like to go record as saying I for one don't mind paying a few more bucks for higher quality materials.

I'd probably order from them sometimes if they weren't in the same state as me, trigerring sales tax.

I have ordered this game from Boards and Bits (shipping soon per their website). I read some initial impressions on BoardGameGeek and so far it sounds good.

I will probably buy my copy online also… I went to our local game store yesterday (a pretty good game store with a nice selection of AH games and numerous European board games) and asked when they would be receiving Vegas Showdown. I was really taken back when I realized they had no idea as to what I was talking about. Here I am waiting for the game to show up and they do not even have an order in for it… and they are an AH dealer (they even listed as such on the AH site). And apparently it is not that they have decided not to stock it (they stock all the AH titles) but that they do not know anything about it. Not sure where the fault lies here. I always try to support the local store even though the price is more because I like the store being there, but not this time I guess.

My game store is the same; they never get AH products until about a month after they come out. That, and $10 extra that I would pay at the store has sent me online.

...some people might not "like" the Theme this game is based on, c'mon....what's not to like? It's Vegas-baby!- :rolleyes:

I think this game should play out well...a little break from many "war games" we have been playing lately! (I may be part bias about this game also since I work in a casino here in Vegas as well!)- :p
