Just bought Europe and have played a couple games. The setup problem is the number of inf for germany. There are only 12 included and there are 20 countries requiring an inf for initial setup. I received a list of game pieces from AH and according to their list the game comes with 12 german inf. I must be missing something, what am I doing wrong in my setup?
Thanks, Alan

Look man, I'm sorry but I have to ask. Are you using the chips to represent more than one infantry?

The game came with 12 infantry for germany. There are twenty countries that require at least one infantry each. Fifty total Germen infantry are required to complete the initial setup. I've emailed Avalon Hill about this problem. According to the factory parts inventory list, Germany comes equiped with 12 infantry while the British get 25. Now according to the GB reference chart the British only have five countries requiring 8 total infantry pieces. I believe the factory has reversed Germany's and Britain's infantry requirements. The parts people have not yet responded with my inquiry. I think they may be investigating this issue and may find that X number of games have been shipped with the incorrect number of infantry pieces.

You definitely got inadequate ammount of infantry and should have 25 German infantry pieces in the box. I believe Wizzards will send you the supplement of infantry.

Thanks, I was wondering if my understanding of Germany's initial setup was correct.

I updated the Axis & Allies: Europe FAQ (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=ah/faqs/axiseurope) with information about this. Unfortunately I put it way down at the bottom with "Miscellaneous Questions." Customer Support will take care of you and my apologies for your inconvenience.

Just got mine today. Kind of a let down, they put just the infantry into its own little baggy. I thought they would give me the whole new bag of all the units.
Well, you know how costly it is to make tiny plastic objects in China these days.

What did you ask for?
Infantry or all the units?
While it might be nice to receive the rest, if you are missing infantry you should expect to receive infantry.

Yeha, they are only going to give you what you are missing from that set. FOr D-Day, they just send a UK Infantry and German Tank in an envelope. For Europe, they are just going to give you 12 (or 13) infantry to get you back to the correct amount.

For Risk 2210 I was missing three commanders and got a whole blue set. Guess I'm just lucky like that.

I think since this was a production error (can't comment on Risk since i don't know), they are prepackaging what is needed to make up the difference since they expected an onslaught of requests.
If it is a unique error, they may send the whole package. I once had some CCG cards get damaged in the package because they were crimped along with the outer foil. In that case they replaced the cards that were damaged and sent 3 new boosted packs to make amends for the inconveniece.
