Head shot as defensive fire.

1) Can a Sniper use "Headshot" as defensive fire.?
2) If it does so, will the disruption still last beyound the next casualty phase.

Since the cards overide the rules I will guess the answer to both questions is yes...??

Yes and yes. Defensive fire is an "attack," and nothing in the Headshot special ability indicates that it's resolved differently when used as defensive fire than as a regular attack.
