THE PERFECT GENERAL

!You need many things for this scenario!
:Supplies:

1.Time, there's never enough really, depending on what parameters
you set this game can last a long time.

2.A big game board, this should be bigger than the normal game
board, a wider surface is better than a long one,
a 3piecex2piece map is good, that would come to a 17x16 hex grid.

3.A clear home-made grid with some sort of terrain to put on top
much better than material #2.

4.Enough miniatures to play the game size you like.

!Rules!

My map setup is thus, U,pper/ L,ower : L,eft/ R,ight

/Char1,U.L/ Able1,L.R/ Bake1,L.R/
/Able1,U.L/ Char1,U.L/ Bake1,L.R/

1.First set up this map, not every game just the first

2,Set up your 50 point army 2 hex's from your side
make sure you put one unit in each city hex you can reach at
start up
You don't have to play 50 points (it's just quicker)

3,play out the first turn as per normal rules.

4,In each initiative phase look at your map, for each city you and
only you have at least one unit in, you gain one point
(if you have four Garands in four cities you gain four points)

5,In the movement phase before you move, you may use your
acumulated points to buy units as you see fit,
place these units 2 hex's from your edge a, unit may vanguard now

6,follow these step's until one player owns all cities,
you could set a turn limt if you like, but like a 500 point game you
don't know how long it will take

!Q & A time!

Q/ I have 15 units, so now what
A/ you can not start with more than 15 units however you may buy
more than 15, you still may only activate 15 per turn

Q/ I have Paratroopers can I......
A/ Do you have D20s if so number your grid and roll roll ROLL..or
whatever floats your uh parachute...I guess

Q/ Nobody really asked you any questions did they?
A/ Nope.

Q/ Why The Perfect General
A/ In this scenario you must balance attack with defence. like Risk.
besides it was cool DOS/98 CPU game.

This game could potentialy go back and forth a bit.. but I think that it could make things like the engineer usefull, couse you earn back guys as you go.
it would take ,like, seven turns owning all the cities but one on the above mentioned map to buy a tiger...

I loved The Perfect General game!!! It had some pretty good WWII scenarios (Anzio, etc...) in it as well. I think I still have my copy somewhere. If I rememeber correctly you could also purchase mines instead of tanks.

I will have to try this one.

No, I too was trying to combine RISK and AAM. And I was alos trying to make a fun Multiplayer game. I didn't even see this thread when I was thinking up the idea.

I know, I'm just messin around.

if I had the time and people to do this I would combine both ways.

I would change these

5 teams:
USA.
U.K., France, Austrailia, Canada.
Russia, Poland, China
Germany,Italy, Romania, Hungary
Japan
If another player shows up give them either (Italy, Romania, Hungary) or
all of the minor nations.

1point for each city hex you have units in
2points for each hex of grouped together city hexes you have units in each hex of the group

I know it seems japan would have it hard at first, but they have a lot of good units for cheap. So they should be fine.
