Let me respond to this in two ways to cover both possible scenarios. I won't address issues like making your cover roll, hulking mass, etc.
First, if in one turn you receive three hits then you are destroyed. This could be three disrupteds from three different units, or a disrupted/damaged from one unit and another disrupted from another unit or some other combination. Three hits in one turn = a destroyed unit.
Second, lets assume in the previous turn you were hit and disrupted and damaged. Now it's the next turn and the same unit is attacked and your opponent exceeds its defense by 1. Normally this is a disrupted and damaged result. Since it's a new turn a face down disrupted counter is placed on the unit. The unit is already damaged, and damaged is a persistent state that doesn't get removed, so the new damaged effect destroys the unit. As the glossary says under the "destroyed" entry, "If a damaged vehicle would receive another damaged counter, it gets a destroyed counter instead."
