Has anyone made custom maps for A&A Minatures yet?

I would pay for new maps, but I'd like to be able to download them too...
I've been using my Memoir44 map boards and Terrain tiles for skirmishes with Axis and Allies Miniatures. The game comes with plenty of scenarios to set up and objectives for each army. I have been looking into larger felt type battle maps to use. I've only found one place that has the 2" hexes printed on the crushed felt mats. They are 4'x6' and cost $50.00. Monday knight productions has them on there web site.
I recently ordered some Classic Battletech map sets, there 17"x22" full color. I think the hexes are 1", maybe a little larger. I'm going to use them for my Mechwarrior and possibly A & A.
I would definetley purchase some official scenario maps from WOC, if they offer them in the future.

I use memoir 44 boards too. i also got a damaged box of heroscape cheap and I use the tiles to build terrain features.
I would love to see, russian front (let it snow, let it snow, let it snow), china/burma/jungle and I would love to get some north africa maps and i would indeed pay for them

ya know, it just dawned on me that i could use my settlers of catan tiles (especially from the expansion set with the locking borders) for this game, i have two complete sets and i think it would work very well.
has anyone else tried this already?

If WOTC had the marketing savy they think they do, they'd have put out a plethora of map modules by now along with such things as punchout terrain features like pillboxes, dragon's teeth, etc.

You guys might want to try multimanpublishing.com. Do a search on Streets of Fire and or Hedgerow Hell. These are the only 2 modules that Avalon Hill made for Squad Leader that use large hexes (2.2"). I ordered Streets of Fire map set. I waiting for them to arrive. There should be 4 maps in this module. Cost is $20 + $5 for shipping. Here is a link of the site.

I guess we're on our own.

Feros,
Let us know about the MMP ASL map boards when you get them. They look good and should work perfectly for A & A miniatures. I may have to break down and purchase the Hedgrow Hell set also.

We've played a few times on the Streets of Fire maps, and it's a very different game on them. The scale is different (40 m/per hex as opposed to 100m), some different terrain (hedgerows, stone walls, individual multi-story buildings etc). But the game works great on them, and has much more of a tactical feel to it.
Obviously, you have to edit some of the basic game concepts (unit ranges, movement), and account for the new terrain, but it's well worth it IMHO.

I'd also like to plug Historic Battlefronts maps.
http://www.hbfronts.com/
They currently have a 10m scale France 1944 map, two more Stalingrad 1942 maps in the works, Guadalcanal 1943 a bit further down the line, and a Burma map rumored next year. I have the France map and it's a lot of fun -- a lot more "intense" than the WOTC 100m maps.
PS - I did some scenario writing for them so you'd be helping to support a freelance journalist as well!
