After my friends banned me the crocodrile I had played with 2 shermans and many infantry losing no game at all, but yesterday I decide togive the M3-Lee a try, but my opponent gave me a surprise and field a Panzer IV and rest only infantry (pretty much my axis army but subbing the Sd Kfz 222 for an imperial sargeant). Althou the Lee's strike and fade worked wonderfully hitting twice a turn without being shoot at, he failed misserably with the dice. And I made a big mistake when I disrupted the panzer putting my vehicles in a postion to rush to hit him in the back next turn. That was stupid because he surprised me banzai charging on my vehicles and I ende up having only the Lee on the board :/

I shoot like 13 times to the damn SS-PG but it survived to the end :(. Maybe I had worse luck than I though but I won't get the damn M3 Lee again.

I don't have one, but don't those things get the "Tall Silhoette" SA? Not getting cover is a bad thing.

That's what Strike and Fade is for.

Well well dear fluffy. You have learned a very interesting lesson. In my neighborhood we call the M3-Lee tank the big "maricona" :D . It does not work very good at all, and it always gets what it deserve. A tank that shot to other tanks 12/10/8 and then runs should never be allowed to get victory. ;)

Jokes aside.

The Lee is a good tank, but... ... the cost is too high.

The strategy should be firing with both attacks at a tank and hopefully causing three hits. Th PzIV in your example might damage the Lee, but a one turn kill should be unlikely.

Banned the Croc ??? Sure it is a good tank, but then yoou should ban the SSPG! ;)

If your going to ban anything in house rules it should be the M4A1 & veteran shermans.

Oh come on, I can't believe it. We call it exactly the same way!, the humber and the sfd kz 222 are just 'mariconas' are you spanish also?

Or are you just one of my friends under camouflage?

Urgh, Steve's recent ruling on Strike & Fade just made the M3 worse...
Damage does reduce Strike & Fade speed by 1.

Note that the road bonus applies during Strike & Fade movement (as does High Gear), but if the unit only has Strike & Fade 1, and it gets damaged, its Strike & Fade speed drops to 0 and it can't move at all after attacking, even on a road.

I hardly ever se a damaged vehicle last for more than a turn anyway

It depends. If there are more dangerous/worthwile units nearby, why shoot at a damaged i.e. often crippeled unit. With the -1 on attack dice a damaged unit might never be a threat again and left over for a later kill.
