Several players have pointed out how strong the Rhino is against enemy tanks. It always gets into forest & mostly ignores disruption. But I discoverd Sunday that it's even stronger against infantry. Most infantryV's tank fights are resolved by close assaults. And it's virtually impossible to close assault a Rhino; what usually happens is the infantry moves into the Rhinos hex (that would trap most other tanks because of defensive fire.) The Rhino just moves out, even if the defensive fire disrupts it, it can still shoot the infantry with it's full 9 attack. Note; The tanks with SS-determination are no where near as effective doing this, because the defensive fire does cripple the tanks firepower.
I played against an IS-II supported by screaming eagle paratroopers on sunday & it took 6 turns to kill the IS-II after which my 1 surviving Rhino had to move adjascent to the objective, which was defended by Screaming Eagles. It casully won by just moving between the 7 hexes adjascent to the objective, shrugging off the defensive fire results. And killing any screaming eagle which was in the open.
