Schmitt’s Assault


After the german invasion of Russia schmitts assault group come aupon a russian bunker that had not been taken out it. Schmitt gave the order to try a push on it The first attemt failed more Russians were present than assumed.
reinforced with 2 panzer 3 and a sig 33.Schimtt will try to take thye hill from the Russians once and for all.

The Russian are given orders to hold to the last man last round will they hold the German assualt.

Map used Charile-2 top right, backer-1top right (Charlie is above baker)
7-9 turns Russians deploy on charlie 2 germans deploy on backer 2

Germans Job is to take the hill the Russians hold. Schmitt’s Platoon assaults
1x SS Haupstrumfurher (Schmitt) 1x German Sniper
5x SS Panzer Grenadier 1x Marine flamethrower
2x Panzer III (german engineer)

Russian units most hold the hill
1x Commissar
4x Rifleman
2x Vickers
2x ptd 41
2x Russian smg units
1x cossack capt.

Special Ability- Schmitt- Infentary units adjacent move 2 hexes instead of one.
Russians- have one bunker on hill and units in it make long and medium cover rolls. (Place Bunker anywhere on hill. Use a piece of paper to rep. bunker)

I'm guessing this is a Stalingrad map. Is Schimidt's Assault Group in any way related to this (http://www.battlefront.co.nz/CatalogueView.asp?CatalogID=1608)?

Kinda got the unit name from that and made a diff. secnario to use it in

I'd recommend being a bit clearer with your scenarios, and play testing them first.

1) How is control of the bunker/objective determined; the same as a normal game, or as it is in the assault scenario (with Russians defending).

2) Where does each side deploy?

3) German Sniper is optional? Why wouldn't the Germans use him?

4) At long range none of the Russians can harm the sIG, while it has a 50% chance of killing each target. FYI the sIG negates the bunker's ability unless you're going to change it to specifically state otherwise.

5) This phrase doesn't make sense to me; "assault units adjacent move 2 hexes instead of one." The only assault unit is the sIG, and it moves more than one already. Did you mean friendly soldiers or something similiar

6)"Anti-Tank Inf." I'm assuming these are PTRDs, but they could be ZIS's as well.


The most important thing to remember when making scenarios is that not everyone will interpret things the same way, so you have to be as clear as possible. Hope this has been helpful and not discouraging! Small scenarios are always fun and generally quick, so you can get a few in.

NP, it's not easy to start making scenarios, there's always something you forget! The basics do look very good though.
