I don't know if I would call it love yet, but this new game has potential.

I have one full face to face game in and it was a lot of fun. We almost ran out of Japanese tanks, but that was the only issue we had.

I just started a PBEM game and am enjoying the ebb a flow of the battle on the east front.

Mike and Larry great job!

I love this version thz MIKE and LARRY !!!!!!!!! I understand everyone saying not enough pieces but if you play it a few times like i have its not much of a problem. I paid $ 54.95 for my copy i would have pay $100 this is best version out there in my opinon. Sorry to all that are unhappy with this version but i will buy every copy of AA they make. AND everyone that says they tried to save money with less pieces and no tray just be happy we got a NEW VERSION THEY MADE THE BEST GAME EVER EVEN BETTER :D :D :D

I am impressed at the lack of setup unit inflation. From before the game was released, I had posted:

In A&A:P, I felt like the setup put too many pieces on the board. It made the game overwhelming to newbies, and made for a slow setup and first turn. It worked for A&A:P, but I'm wondering how successful Avalon Hill will be at accomplishing the global war without overdoing the number of initial pieces. That the country setups are not individually overwhelming is a great aspect of the game. It is nice to see this aspect of the MB version preserved to a great degree despite the addition of more territories, DDs, and artillery.

Nice job on that front IMHO.

The new game is just more of the same fun that made the first a legend. Thanks
