I've been researching a couple of battles during WWII and have created several detailed outlined maps that can be used with A&As. Although these maps are compatable with A&A, they are only outlined and not created into 3-D boards. If someone would like to use them, I could send the maps via email and the user could create a map based on the outline. Some maps have special rules and pieces required inorder to capture the historical significance of the battles. I will update this thread with the specific battles when they are completed. If these new maps renew your ferver of A&As, trades can be worked out!

Who is interested?!

That's pretty cool. I've been compiling my own maps from books and resources at my university. I don't plan on over laying a hex grid on them, put I'm going to head into Illustrator and do some map creation from scratch which will take some time to do. I have maps of Stalingrad, Prokhorovka, Juno Beach, and a few spots (Caen, Falaise) in Normandy.

Keep posting on this thread as your project develops. I would like to see how your project progresses. If time permits this semester I will work on my own maps. I just plan on posting them, with scenarios for the community, and they can print stuff out themselves.

The new board is completed and ready for use! The battle is St. Come du' Mont/Carentan. The unique thing about this board is that there are mutiple objectives. Now the question is are there people ready to trade?

There are also special rules and regulations for this battle! :D

PM me if you are interested.

What are you looking for in trade?

Can you post a snapshot of the finished product?

Why would you need something in trade? Is that even allowed on the boards, its like advertising your product? Why wouldn't you just want to contribute to the community?

Agreed. If you want to sell us something just put your maps up on ebay like another board member did. If your selling copyrighted or public domain information as is often the case with maps and primary source material you could be in a liable situation.

I'm not selling this battle map for money. I'm only looking to trade for a couple of minis (1-5). I figured this would be reasonable (maybe not :( ), because of the amount of time I put into making this board. If you strongly feel that trading is not necessary, I can email you the special rules and the instructions. ;)

I have to see what you propose and what kind of unit you wants...

Although I might have some preferences, the units that I would get would be ultimately your choice becuase you are the one sending them to me.

If you would like me to PM you a set of the special rules of the battle just let me know :)

(The battle map is configured in a paint document. Inorder for you to use this, you could print it off, create a 3-D board, or use the Avalon Hill game "Battle Cry." Battle Cry also use hexes and they are interchangeable, so you can create ANY map you want.)

If none of you are interested, tell me how I can make this a more appealing map. Tell me what you want :D .
