January Combat Zone Kit?

Has anyone received the January Combat Zone Kit?? I know that they typically arrive the first week of the month. Just wondering if anyone has seen the January Kit yet. Supposed to have better stuff in it then the previous months. Repaints or preview units??? Something like that.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. The stores that you play tournaments at get the kits. They buy them for a small fee and the kits encourage participation in events scheduled at the store.

The store I play at did not get them today :(
Maybe next week. Going over there is fun, just not playing but also getting to meet new people. These guys I play with are funny, even if it means poeple's feeling getting hurt :cool: Its all good ;)

Over on the Max Minis board there is talk of the DDM Janurary retailer kits being late (just like last year). Same company (WotC/AH), I'd guess the combat zone kits will show up late also :( .

If someone has not already posted, the January kits are out and contain preview figures of the Soviet Grenadiers as well as some map tiles.

I have seen only the October combat zone kit (they do not make it to Spain yet). I would very much appreciate to know what was in any and all combat zone kits released after October AND, this one for WotC Bob -if possible-, could we have them online?

I went to play to my local store yersterday and I got two SOVIET GRENADIER!
Yeah!
The stats cards are not exactly the same color, they are kind of a blue gray. I guess it's to identify them as being promo pieces.
They look pretty good by the way. Nice paint job and you can actually make out that it's a PPSh-41 he's carrying on his back.
They are the best basic infantry Russian have so far and will make perfect tank riders.

That's a pretty potent infantry unit! Great for holding an objective hex in covering terrain.

Unfortunately, the November and December kits contained only map tiles, not minis. Wotc was so ashamed of them they gave us the December kits for free. But the January kit shows that they are improving, and hopefully they will get some maps or scenarios in the future kits.

Thank you very much, Greyfox, for your information and comments. I am still very interested in the tiles, even if they could be considered somewhat lame vs other "goodies". Does anybody know if is possible to get them on-line?

Nov. I think was just regular green hexs. And december was marsh hexs. I don't think oct. had any.

Are you sure? When I first went to Fatcats when I met you, you had dec. kits which was marsh... If thats not it what was in DEC. :confused:
