Just a heads up:
I ordered a large number of figures from CCG Armory.com on December 13th.
After NUMEROUS e-mails giving them every opportunity to correct the matter,
they are only now sending me an incomplete order over three weeks late.

They are a smaller outfit, but I went with them over numerous {less expensive} others because they stated they had a number of hard to find items in stock. This is a scam to get you to order from them. They didn't respond to my order inquires until 1/4/06. They claimed to have sent me an e-mail stating they didn't have all my order, and thus didn't ship because I didn't respond. This is a flat out lie. My system logs every incoming e-mail.

Then they claimed to have offered me 10% off on replacement items.
But they don't actually have any of the rare items they claimed to have had.
They excused this with a statement "The website had some inaccuracies due to high order volume during the holiday season, and our previous email offered 10% off replacement items, which we will still honor."

After much back and forth, they are still treating this as a non-event and have made no effort to honor the original contract. I printed both my pre-order and confirmation which BOTH state all items were in stock and were shipped. If they HAD contacted me, I might have had time to order the missing items with someone esle, but of course, everyone else is out of these items.

I'm finding this is typical behavior with these smaller outfits, but they figure they've got your money, and you won't sue them over such a trivial breach of contract. I've reported them to the better business bureau, only to find they have numerous other complants against them.

Lesson learned: Check with the BBB BEFORE you try out a new supplier.
Thanks for your indulgence, Julien

Yeah, after hundreds of no-problem dealings on eBay, I got stung twice late last year. I got a full refund through Paypal for the merchandise that was never shipped, but ultimately will wind up eating a small loss on the other, which was shipped incomplete. Neither seller ever responded to my emails or to inquiries direct from eBay and Paypal.

If this outfit is an eBay seller or you paid through Paypal, follow up through their dispute processes. It can produce good results, if you act before the time limit.

Sorry to hear you got burned, If it was on a charge card, let your charge card company know, they may have insurance or may place a dispute on the charge, and get your money back.

Follow-up: I finally got e-mailed a canned message from the BBB. CCG Armory tried to make out like they've never had any other complaints, that I am just a crank and that I don't understand the nature of collectable figures.
They again refered to some ficticious e-mail, claiming that they'd warned me of the problem at the time of the order, and that the problem was MY fault for not responding right away.
Blame the victem. Brilliant strategy, guys.
Note: the only e-mail I got from them was the one confirming my order.
ALL of it.
They totally omitted the facts that they shipped unordered items in a badly packaged box and that I was upset over the resulting damage to the few items they did get right.

Short, Late, Damaged and Wrong. And NO effort on their part to correct the matter even after arbitration. Just an offer to sell me the dregs of what they DO have at 10% off.
YMMV, but I'm staying away from these guys in the future.

I done quite a bit through e-bay and have had good experiences. The only mistake I ever had was one vendor sent me a King Tiger instead of a KV-1. I didn't complain. I can PM anyone several vendors that I have used.

PS. Great Avatar - "I've got a disease and the only prescription, is more Cow Bell!"

Number Cruncher,

Here are 2 great eBayers that sell a lot of AAM stuff:

http://stores.ebay.com/Makasih-Miniature-and-Trading-Card_Axis-Allies-Miniatures

http://stores.ebay.com/Crossroad-Hobbies

I'm from Canada and both have treated me exceptionally well!

Let me know how it goes...

Keep on Tankin'

There are many Honorable e-stores out there. Sometimes research can help. Even posting questions in forums like this can help. Or just place a small order--small dollar amount--and see how the e-store processes it. If they get it right, ship it to you fast, and things go well, then place a bigger order. Finding a good e-store has advantages over E-bay too. Cheaper shipping rates, one stop shopping, pre-orders, or even product updates. E-stores can be as good as any LGS. Don't get too discouraged.
