Anyone have a 3 player schenario? It's possible on side could divy up it's points to play 2v1.

Was thinking about a combined US & UK assault on a German defensive position. Might keeps the Allies units from getting mixed up. Recommendations on point totals? German 100, US 75, UK75?

My group tends to have odd numbers of players, so we do this frequently. The German player gets, say, 250 points, the two Allied players gets 125 each. If you're looking for a good historical basis for this sort of play, check out General Montgomery's advance across Western Europe in 1944-45. He commanded units of both British and American soldiers against the Germans, which would make for some fun historical scenarios.

I always wanted to play a 3 player game but; nobody else does. It's getting old playing 100pt. army after 100pt. army

Haha, at the very least you could vary the point total a little bit. Believe me, the game changes considerably once you get up around the 150 point mark.

The people I play with rarely want to do that

3-player scenarios sound like a good idea! There's plenty of possible scenarios: US/British invading Germany, Germany/Italy vs. Allies, Allies vs. Germany/Vichy French in North Africa. Or you could simply have separate field commanders for the tank brigade and Marines. Some commanders could have additional objectives depending on their particular goals (i.e. French take VP penalty if French city is bombarded).

I'll start working on one now!

Working on one now involving the Chinese, the Japanese and an American Engineer Force and the Japanese advance on the bases for the B-29's in China in 1943 and 44.

You could try that old chestnut, The Fall of Berlin. Germans in the middle, US/UK coming in from the west, USSR coming from the east. We used to play that with Panzerblitz/PanzerLeader. Completely ahistorical at that scale but lots of fun anyway. Also works with four players if you divide the German command into eastern and western halves.

For a more historical version, do the same thing but make the two encircling forces the same nationality and call it the Hammer and Anvil scenario. One player (with a mobile force) is the advancing hammer, one (with a largely immobile force) is the blocking anvil, and the one in the middle (with a hodge-podge) is the unfortunate horseshoe. The trapped player needs to cut his way out through the anvil before he gets smashed by the hammer.

We played three players last week. 2 Allies and 1 Axis. We have a pretty cool house rule, "Radio Silence" or "Radio Shadow". Every third round the two Allies players wasn't allowed to talk to each other. It had some cool effects. Try it!

That's pretty cool. We played 3 player, German defending at 100 points with teh Britts & Americans attacking at 75 points each. It was very unplesant with 3 shermans, a croc, humber and M3 Stuart controlling the game. I found that two players brains is much better than one as they caught each other's mistakes and provided sugestions on strategy.

Try the "Radio Silence" next time you play. And be VERY strict about the silence. You can always (try) to repair the damage in the next turn.

Yes, itīs very good to be two players. Especially for me, as a real newbie. My Allied friend has a little more experience than me :)

Please report in, if you use the house rule and tell me how it went.

RACE TO BERLIN (http://http://boards.avalonhill.com/showthread.php?t=8742) This 3-player scenario has been played a number of times at two different game stores with good success. There seemed to more appeal to having 3-player scenarios rather than dividing the points up for one army. When we play Race For Berlin we usually use the option of having a first, second and third place, helps the game to be more competitive.
