I decided to try some terrain with no hexes. Kind of go back to the old wargaming days of measuring. Like Ogre or FOW you simply measure distance instead of using hexes. I made this terrain out of styrofoam sheets I got out of a shelf unit I recently purchased. Painted flocked, and molded as needed much like I did in my tutorial on the other thread. It is a long valley divided by a lox hill, and it has a small lake on one side. In the scenario I set up for reference the Americans are assaulting a dug in German force with Panthers and a nasty 88. The GI's are going to need some good rolls to pull this one off. Hope you enjoy.

i actually think it looks more reliastic without the hexes.
but you can't use them to play a 100pt game or something.
but Good Job!!!

Hooper....its the old school way of playing wargames...you measure with a tape or ruler. I have played a couple games on it and it was awesome. I had to tweak the rules very little to make it work. Hexes are easier though and speed up the game. So only play this way if your nostalgic like me and want a taste of some old school wargaming.

Looks great. I can see the Forest hexes added in. Are you using 2" to substitute for a hex when you measure range? It seems like a simple adjustment.
