Anything planned for the Minneapolis area? There are several game stores in town pushing AAM. The Source, Village Games, Monsters Den just to name a few.

The Robin Goodfellow AAM League is stoked to be the first to host the 2006 AAM Gamer's Road Show.

This is pretty cool that TJ "SSG" Huble managed to get WOTC to support the Road Show. Wonder what they will send us.

We got all our prizes and AAM related swag ready last night, and the tourney gamers can expect to play on several 21x32 PDF laminated map boards 1-6. Yeah that means no small four piece maps sets to piece together. :D We're even giving one of the 21x32s away at the end of tourney.

If you are interested in attending here is the info and tourney rules.

INTEL:
Saturday, April 29
Robin Goodfellow Gaming Room
23N Lake Ave, Duluth, MN
218-279-3443
Four one hour Battle Rounds
$3.00 entry fee
First round starts at 1:00 PM

ORDER OF BATTLE:
Each General will need
One 100 point Axis Army (no year restrictions)
and
One 100 point Allied Army (no year restrictions)

Swiss Tournament Seeding

Round 1 1:00 PM
Round 2 2:15 PM
Round 3 3:30 PM
Round 4 4:45 PM

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT:

Each round is determined by Tournament Director rolling a 1d6. All players will use the same Battle Map configuration during a Battle Round. No Battle Map will be used twice during the run of the Tournament. For each Battle Round, opponents roll for sides with the High Roller commanding the Axis and the Low Roller commanding the Allies. Use AAM Official Rules to determine who will be the First Player and Second Player. During Battle Rounds only AAM Official Rules apply, House Rules will not be permitted. All Battle Rounds are 7-10 turns in length and must be completed within a period of one hour. If the Battle round is not completed within the time limit, neither opponent will be granted tournament points for that round.

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY:
This tournament will be a registered WOTC sanctioned event. T.J. Huble, who is helping to support this tournament event, will be bringing his new AAM custom made map which has been sanctioned by WOTC.

TOURNAMENT SEEDING AND POINT SYSTEM:
Swiss Seeding will be used to pair opponents for each Battle Round. Each win is worth 10 points. For each previous opponent that you defeated, who wins a following Battle Round, an additional point is added to your Tournament Point Total. The three players with the most points at the end of the tournament will be awarded prizes. Ties will be determined by a 1d6.

SPOILS OF WAR:
1st Place receives one AAM Booster Pack of their choice, and:
one of the following of their choice:
1. 1 of 6 fully laminated Rules Battle Map Layouts
2. All new 6 How Map Sets laminated.
3. All 3 sets of Easy, Fox and George Maps laminated

2nd Place receives their choice of one of the two map sets remaining from above.

3rd Place receives what map set remains from above.

There will be other related AAM prizes and swag awarded throughout the tournament.

Next RG AAM League Tournament Date. Friday, June 2nd.

Roll High,
Kevin

Why was the Chicago event cancelled? Was it a problem with the store?

Why was the Chicago event cancelled? Was it a problem with the store?

The Mt. Prospect event was cancelled due to lack of interest/participation. After two months of attempting to coordinate the event, only one person confirmed that they would attend and indicated there would be two, maybe three, more people coming. My most sincere apologies, but at $3.00/gal gasoline, I'm not making a 6-hour, 300 mile, drive to Chicago for only 4 people.
