Default Scenario SH-2: Invading Kyushu

The scenario is now live.

I'm putting together the scenario card for a new "What If?" scenario involving a US invasion of Japan. It's running late because I moved my desk, computer, etc today (along with some colleagues) to a different part of the building and that has consumed much of the day.

Sounds cool, Bob. If you can use any help with research, I volunteer; for some reason Operation DOWNFALL, "MacArthur's Last Stand" as I call it*, has been the subject of grim fascination for me.

*I believe that had DOWNFALL gone forward, he probably would have died on the beach or not far from it. Just my opinion, based on a general gut-check impression...

Well, as I wrote in the scenario, it would have been a very grisly fight. Nobody would have been safe with the plans that were being formulated by the IJA and IJN. A lot of heroes would have been made and have died on such a day but the end of all the fighting would have been the same; a broken and surrendering Imperial Japan.

These planes are so crappy. Stalin could shoot them down, from Moscow, with a Pistol!!
