Question

Me and my two brothers have been playing the revised edition for about two weeks now (we're in our second game), but we're wondering about the meaning of "place n of your infantry units in t".

We first encountered it when I played the Allies and ended up with the "Chinese Divisions" ability, which seems to mean that every time you purchase infantry, one infantry battalion can be placed in one of the two "Green China" territories on the map.

This makes Britain's "French Resistance" seem a bit odd, though, as the French resistance definetly didn't come from Britain (pardon my stating of the obvious). But if it means that Britain can move 3 infantry to Normandy/France/Western Europe, what rules apply to the moving of them (ie. where can they be moved from)?

So does "place n of your infantry units in t" mean that you get place n free units, or that you can move some of your infantry instantly and for free from one location to the other? We play as if the rule gives you free infantry, which seems the most likely, but we just aren't sure.

-A deep A&A fan.

PS: Does A. H. plan to give out a revised edition of A&A Europe and A&A Pacific?

Exclamation

If you want to "pay" for them (like ZOMBIE) then Pay me! They are free!

If USA gets that NA, you are allowed to place before the end of your turn- one (for free)- infantry unit in any of the regions listed that the USA player owns:

CHINA
SINKIANG
KWANGTUNG
FRENCH-INDOCHINA

(these are illustrated as 'Chinese'-Allied reinforcements in one of these regions!)

[hope that helps!]

Chinese Divisions, Nonaggression Treaty, and French Resistance get you new, free units from your reserves (those not on the board).
