I am considering experimenting and making my own house rule.
Tanks, Half Tracks, and Armored Cars would be allowed two shots in the Assult phase. It would work similar to the SA on the Stuart. The tank could fire it's first shot, and then could take a second shot against infantry. As a second modification, I would add a bonus equal to every turn that a tank tries to cross an Anti-tank barrier or tries to enter a forest hex. So on the first turn, the movement die would be a normal 5 or 6. On the following turn, the next roll that same vehicle tries would be at +1 so a 4,5, or 6 would allow that vehicle to enter that hex. To balance this improvement on those vehicles, I would modify the Anti-Tank guns. I would allow the AT to have a 'snap shot' against all vehicles. During the Movement Phase, for any vehicle crossing the line of sight of the AT, the AT could fire one shot at the vehicle. The player would have to announce that shot as that vehicle crossed the sight of the AT. The AT could only make one shot within that movement phase. Have any of you ever tried these House Rules in your games? What worked, what didn't work? Any speculations on how it might work? |

Just pure speculation on my part. If you adopt these ideas I think your game will be over so fast it will make your head spin.
