Default New Axis and Allies Game: Reichstag

I am going to be start working on an Axis and Allies Variant, Road to the Reichstag. It is Europe, pre-battle of the bulge. Here's an overview...

1. The German Player must attempt to delay the Americans and Soviets long enough to complete the development of the final Vengeance weapons, and then unleash them.

2. The German Player has control of what Vengeance Weapons you are trying for, and each requires different play styles. For example, if going for the A-Bomb, you will win a weapon which will achieve near-instant victory, however, it will take longer to develop, so you may play more defensively, compared to a "kill all allies" strategy. Every Victory Condition comes with a different play style- in fact, you could even secretly be given a single necessary condition secretly, so that you must win that way but the Allies don't know what you are trying for.

3. You can combine vengeance weapons for devestating effects- for example, you can combine Advanced Rockets with the Atomic Bomb to make Nuclear Missiles!

4. However, this game is not about the Vengeance Weapons, it is about Combat. Combat will use a new "Morale" system in which you must slowly weaken your opponents, instead of instant kills. Your units can even recover morale if reequipped, if setting up defensive formations, and more.

5. Combat will completely be redone to reflect on this "morale" system.

6. An entirely new map will be designed just for this game, and I plan on e-mailing it to anyone who asks, so you can print it out and play on it!

7. I wish to include rules to combine this game with Axis and Allies D-day, and if I ever create "Fall of France: The German Invasion of France", you can do all 3 games for a full Europe Campaign!

8. New technological advancements for every nation, including heavy armor and long range artillery.

9. You know how in most Axis and Allies Games, an Armor unit represents an armored division, artillery is assumed to have supporting infantry, and etc? Well, not in this game. YOU form your platoons, decide how to supply your big guns evenly, and etc. Do you want a platoon of all infantry to investigate a city? Go for it. Your all artillery platoon will give them cover.

Anyway, I am only brainstorming now, so please give me ideas to Vengeance Weapons, Combat, Technologies, and Etc. I have some neat ideas for combat however...

Default Map

Here's a preview of the map. The Green is territory for the Western Allies to capture, the Red is for the Soviets to capture, and Grey is for them both to attack (Germany). White is Neutral, and Dark Green is the ardennes, Berlin is yellow.

Now, there are some things I want to know:

What map changes should I make?

Where were the Allies/German Forces late 1944?

What are some key cities worth capturing? Any German laboratories? Any German Production Centers? Concentration camps?

What is the production capability?

How long should the game take?

Are there any major terrains I should worry about?

Any help to the map is very useful, I'm not good with maps and stuff. However, I think this map looks pretty nice for a very early version.

I want to keep details limited to Political Boundaries. Maybe Poland could have a boundary for itself, but I think the minor Axis states could all be just there.

Anyway, put your comments.

Default Updates

Ok, here are some map updates:

1. I am going to have Austria.

2. I am going to have Warsaw.

3. I am going to add air bases. Right now, the ones in Northern France (allied) are the only ones.

4. I am adding areas of intrest, such as the German Factory where V2 gas was produced. If you know where others are, tell me.

5. I need the location of airbases, industrial centers, or anything worth IPC perhaps.

I think the map looks horrendous.

I would suggest drawing out your map By-Hand.

Then when you are ready for a final map print, you take about 2 weeks and build each country seperately in a GOOD map maker.

Then its all about fitting the pieces together.

Trust me, if I didn't have to compress it and take out the details to make it fit on this website, it wouldn't look quite like that. The actual version is a bit nicer.

I was just using the bright blue for contrast as I was working. That's gonna go.

I actually did use the Axis and Allies map for this, only broken up.

Besides, playability and looks are 2 totally different things.

I think I may scrap that idea for now... it was a bit difficult to try to figure out.
