Escort SA

A fighter plane with the "Escort" special ability-

Is it "escorting" ALL the friendly bombers in a sector or only one? Bomber is written in the singular on the card making me think it is only one bomber. If that is the case, then if you have two bombers in a sector you need 2 fighters to escort them.

If a bomber is being "escorted" while attacking a carrier, does the still gets to use Defend the Flattop SA / Expert Dogfighter / or both?
